Friday, December 3, 2010: BettySoo!!!

I think you are going to love this, and I know I will. We’re fortunate to have rising star, Betty Soo Kim join us for an evening of original music. She’s performed at Kerrville and earned a new folk award, played a showcase at SXSW (which takes tremendous luck and talent), was awarded Songwriter of the Year at Big top Chautauqua, and Best New Song from MountainStage.

BettySoo has an amazing voice and a skillful command of her guitar. With early influences like Shawn Colvin, Nanci Griffith, and Indigo Girls, she brings a mature sensibility to her songwriting. Her lyrics are clever, her phrasing original, and her voice is pure and rich.

Maverick Magazine called this Texas troubadour one of Austin’s best kept secrets. With three full length CDs and a 4 song EP released since 2005, and tours in both the USA and Europe, one wonders if perhaps the secret has gotten out? I hope so, and I hope you’ll agree that we’re pleased and fortunate to have this new voice joining us.

To fit BettySoo’s schedule, we’re hosting this show on a Friday night. We’ll start at the usual time, with the show beginning at 8PM and guest arriving anytime between 7PM and showtime. Tickets are $12 and you can pay when you arrive, or if it’s more convenient, you can use PayPal.

Please reserve your seats for this show, as it’s sure to sell out in advance.
