We are thrilled to bring back to Evansville, our good friends Al and Emily Cantrell. The Cantrells feature Al on fiddle or mandolin, but rarely both at once, and Emily on vocals, guitar and sometimes Al’s fiddle while he’s playing it. Okay, that’s a bit of a trick, you’ll have to come to the show to see what I mean.
Al and Emily Cantrell play their own brand of music with strong influences from Texas swing, Appalachia, and the British Isles. It’s traditional and original at the same time, and so easy to listen to, over and over again. Their album titled “Dancing with the Miller’s Daughter” is a favorite around the cabin, and is great road music, as well. Other CDs in their catalog that we love as well include “The Heart Wants What it Wants”, “A New Language”, and “Under a Southern Moon”.
You have probably heard me say this countless times, but I will say it again. I am humbled and amazed by the level of talent we are able to attract to Evansville and have them perform in such an intimate venue. We’re lucky that Al and Emily enjoy the warmth of the cabin and our audience. I am sure you will agree!
The doors will open at 7pm and the show will start at 8. Seats are $12 and can be reserved online. (we’ll get that reservation system up soon)
