Saturday, February 26, 2011: The Troubadours of Divine Bliss

The Troubadours of Divine Bliss defined and refined their music act on street corners in New Orleans where the spirit of vaudeville reigns like a Mardi Gras king. These two cut-ups are spontaneous, irreverent, full of lightness and heart. Their harmonies are mesmerizing, their stories cross boundaries and make new connections that you never thought possible. When I was first introduced to AimMe and Reneé, I didn’t know for sure what to make of them. I just liked the groove in their music and the playful spirit they approached life with. They’re loads of fun, and will make you smile.

Don’t take just my opinion, read what The Plain Dealer had to say about “the troubs”:
“Their acoustic music with a streak of old-timer flavor appeals to those who like the female camaraderie and harmonies of the Indigo Girls but are looking for something with a bit more weirdness, humor and range…sultry narratives…vaudeville send-ups…luscious covers…they move from pathos to flippancy with breathtaking speed.”

The Troubadours of Divine Bliss have become regional house concert favorites since the first time they played here at the cabin in 2004, and they always put on a wonderful show. We’re looking forward to this one!

The doors will open at 7pm and we’ll have some snacks out on the table, that you’re welcome to enjoy and if you wish, welcome to add to. As with all of our shows, you must reserve your seats in advance. There is an option to pay via PayPal, or you can simply bring money the night of the show.
